
The DoorWay’s Jr. Staff, including students from Knock, Pine-Richland, Northgate, Avonworth, Seneca Valley, Mt. Lebanon and PA Cyber Charter School Districts, were dressed in poodle skirts, blue jeans and bobbie socks as they served guests at the opening of The DoorWay's 1950’s styled ‘Pop Shop’.
The 'Pop Shop' serves hot dogs,nachos, popcorn and ice cream sodas free of charge to hungry kids who attend The DoorWay's R.E.C.Programs.
The renovations were Made possible thanks to the design efforts of Cocoon Design, funds donated by the employees of Allegheny General’s Suburban Campus through their Holiday Basket drive, and the hard work of community volunteers.

The Adolescent Intervention Program
has existed in one form or another for over 27 years. Begun by Joyce Erdner in the early 1980’s, the program offers court mandated drug and alcohol classes for first time offenders. In the past 5 years alone, more than 700 youth have gone through the program.
For many, the program is their first real effort to avoid potential addiction, but by the end of the classes, 86% commit to trying to stay free of alcohol and other drugs. One participant recently wrote:
